Hi guys,
I just discovered Everlong yesterday and I installed it. The game works fine when playing in windowed mode. When I play in full screen mode, the game shows up twice. It's like my monitor is divided into thirds from top to bottom. The game shows up in the top and middle third, and the bottom third is empty.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks

It probably has to do with either your Operating System or your graphics card, specifically it's drivers. Even though RPG Maker games built using older engines should still work with new versions of Windows, the compatibility is not always perfect. I can confirm that Everlong runs correctly both in Vista and Windows 7 under the right conditions. But if you're using newer hardware and drivers, which you should, this can cause problems with old software that was poorly designed.
In your cause, we see the full screen functionality has been broken, leaving me to think the forced resolution switch was not programmed in a standard manner. There's also the fact RM2K3 games run in 320x240 resolution, which is extremely low definition by current standards and quite frankly may not be supported by your monitor or graphics driver as a full-screen mode, and thus your hardware or driver is confused.
There are some things you can try if you don't want to play in windowed mode. Go to your Everlong folder, find your RPG_RT.exe file, right-click on it, and select Properties. Choose the Compatibility tab. From here you have some options, such as emulating an older version of Windows, forcing resolution and color depth. Try some of these options and see if they help. You can also try changing your desktop resolution, though I doubt you can force it down to 320x240 and can't recommend that. I do NOT suggest reverting to older drivers to fix this since that could cause more problems with other programs or your operating system.

Thanks for the advice. I'm running Windows XP. My monitor/graphic card's native resolution is 1920x1200 and it can't go below 800x600. I tried running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 95 and at 640x480 resolution, but it didn't work. I just have to change the resolution before I want to play it in windowed mode. It's a little annoying but not a big deal. Thanks
