The party is level 51 and was unable to beat the King Dragonfly. I went to an earlier save and made some money and got some better equipment and then headed off to Ifrit - can't beat him/her (?) either. Have only had trouble with one or two fights earlier and now am stuck.
Please suggest the combination of fighters or some help. I read the walkthrough and started using ice and water. No joy. I think I get near the end of the fight and then I get wiped out. Please help.
Thanks Snow

Well for what it is worth - this is what I used for Ifrit.
Fight Strategy Meredith lv 51 Archer, Protect Armlet, Skywalking, Flame Ribbon, Zephyr Cape Vetu lv 51 Obsidian Scepter, Prasad Armlet, Mist Robe, Spire Hat, Silver Anklet Vixen lv 52 Chain Whip, Taoist Bracelet, Taoist Robe, Taoist Crown, Fire Ring Glen lv 51 Ranger, Charm Shield, Giant Armor, Giant Helm, Champion Belt Glen should break armor/power and use Ice Slash. Vixen should use Fenrir (of course if you already have Shiva, you can use this spell but you may suffer from backfire, so be prepared to revive someone). Vetu should cast Glacier. Meredith should cast slow and restore/mending/revive

The most useful thing you van do versus King Dragonfly is equip your White Wizard with the White Cape accessory available in that dungeon from a chest. It will prevent Sleep, and then your White Wizard can cast Awaken to revive the rest of the party from their slumber after sleep-breath.
For Ifrit the main preparation is to use Fire Elemental protection. Equip the Fire Ring or Flame Ribbon if you still have it. If using Drakeor cast Aura; cast Flame Shell with your White Wizard if you have a turn to spare. You can always buy more elemental rings at the Water Tower merchant on the West Continent.

Hi and Thanks
I will try both solutions (to Ifrit and King Dragonfly). Another question - once you have sold equipment (the feather dress for example), where do I go to find another so that I can make the Skywalking armour/equipment. Every merchant seems to sell the same things now ( went back to some of the earlier towns to get a feather dress and no luck)
Great game. The only change I would make is to have the option to make it turn based instead of real time.
Thank you so much for all your work here.
Regards

I just read the levelling up post and found my answer about equipment.
I will head off to riverdock.

I will point out that it is possible to run the game in turn-based rather than real-time (it makes things easier later in the game because you can really think through a strategy). Just go to the main menu and switch from Active to Wait.
