I was just wondering why the romantic ending is still the same no matter which options you choose. The first time I played, Glen was nice to Meredith and they ended up together. The 2nd time, he was mean to her but nice to Vixen and he still ended up with Meredith. Is this a glitch or does it just not matter?

I guess you just aren't mean enough. If you get Smales during the game you will be able to see the affection rating. If you get 0 or above, you'll get the Meredith ending. If it's less than zero you'll get the Vixen ending.

Is there a list of what responses do what to your affection rating? I can't get it to zero. When I ended my last game, it was -33 so now I'm trying to keep it at 0.

There's no reason to keep it at 0; you either want positive or negative. Anything positive is in Meredith's favor, and negative is in Vixen's favor. I think zero also counts in Meredith's favor. As yet the magnitude of the favor (how big or small the number is) doesn't really matter, it just results from your choices. I'd like to change that, but that means writing more extra dialog and events.

When my attraction was at -33, Glen still ended up with Meredith. Bug? The variable that controls the affection rating is #22 if you're looking in the debugger (F9 while test playing through the rm2k3 editor). If you were looking in the stats page then I am thinking maybe there is a bug there in displaying the sign and perhaps you had positive 33. I double checked the ending code and it should work exactly as intended, and I've tested it before and it executed correctly. The stat code is kind of a mess so I don't want to go wading through it right now, but at a quick glance I don't like the way I implemented it and will probably change it. When I do that I'll see if I can't figure out if a bug is actually being caused. It's either that or your save experienced one of those freak variable resets before the ending, which have never happened to me, but I've seen them happen to other players' saves, and sometimes they continue to reset to arbitrary values no matter what.

I downloaded the rm2k3 editor but I can't figure out how to open the game in it? What file do I use? I've never used rm2k3 so I have no idea what I'm doing.

If you're really interesting in doing this and messing around with the editor, I can help you get started, but if you change anything I can't offer support for that just so you know.
The editor wants you to point it to a projects folder where you keep all your games. What you want to do is tell it to look in the folder wherever you installed Everlong. By default this is "C:/Program Files" but notice the path doesn't include the Everlong folder. You don't want to point it to the Everlong folder, that won't work. You want the folder the Everlong directory is inside.
How do you do that? Got to "Project", select "Open Project" then navigate to whatever folder holds the Everlong folder, and you should then see Everlong show up in the dialog box as an option. Of course, you need to be using the correct version and the same translation to load it properly. I believe I'm using RPG Advocate's translation v1.08. Give it a shot and see what happens.

Ahhhh! Okay. I kept trying to open the Everlong folder. I'll give it a shot. Probably save it as something like Everlong2 in case I mess anything up.
