Hi. I have read all the data in the forum. I counted maelstrom etc., got reversed back to up. But he healed himself twice for 85000 points each and it was taking forever. So, stayed alive for many rounds but got bored.
Is there a way to stop him from healing back up? I have been melee'ing him but not to the death. The party at the moment is Julia, Meredith, Drakeor and Glen. I must be missing something. do please help.
Thanks in advance

That's not so much healing as it is a way for DJC to increase the HP of the monster pass its RM2k3 cap. It shouldn't heal itself more than twice. You should be able to kill it now.

Yes, the super large heal amounts are actually the only way around the HP limit in the default rm2k3 editor. You're going to be seeing them on every boss from now on.
This will be changed in the revision thanks to the Goliath patch, but at the expense of the current speed system. I'm still yet to see how it all goes though I've already taken care of that and dealt with with the speed cap, rebalancing hero and monster values. At least players will no longer be really confused by these massive heals by bosses and some random enemies.

Thanks. I have found this guy and Tyrano way hard. Especially Aquaron. It is hard to let the guys die and find the right level for whomever is left so that reversal heals everyone. The battle seems to go on forever and when I saw the two heals for 85,000 HP it looked like I must be doing something REALLY wrong. Many of the battles (like Flidais and terrapin) I won in one go very quickly by using two white wizards. As you have read, I found some of the other battles almost impossible.
Is there a level guide somewhere that shows what level I should be for each of the boss battles?
Also, firstly I know that this game was free and is spectacular. Given that, is there a chart somewhere in the site that tells me what the spells do, for how long, and what counteracts them?
Thanks in advance for any help and for all your efforts.

As you progress you'll find that having two White Wizards lowers your damage output and makes the fights go on for much longer, especially if they spend most of their time healing. If you're having trouble with taking too much damage, you might want to think of using Sammy with his White Wind skill. Mantra doesn't heal for much at this point in the game, but it will remove some nasty conditions on the entire party. Drakeor is always a good bet since he can self heal with Chakra and use Aura in conjunction with the Mirror Shield you will soon find to make all elemental damage heal him. Later if you get the Phoenix summon for Vixen, she'll also be a good support healer in addition to fighting.
I think I did publish a "level guide" that showed what level the boss monsters of certain areas were balanced for, but that was just the average. You can always go some levels beyond that to make it easier, and if you're having trouble you'll probably need to. For Nemus Aevum the assumption is you're around level 75-80+ depending on if you're at the start or finish.
The spells your heroes can cast have everything they do listed in the skill description. Spell effects either last the whole battle (unless another spell is cast that counters them), a single turn, or if condition based like Regen a random number of terms (percentage chance it will end every turn). If it's the special enemy skills you want to know about, then recruit the Tactics NPC Master Miyagi at the town of Dale on the East Continent once you get off the Forgotten Continent. His information is still up to date for the current version.

Thank you. Can't find the level guide and have searched (though it doesn't mean that it isn't there).
Have switched to Sammy and the battles ARE much shorter.
Now I need the ore. Have been back to the congress but there doesn't seem to be anyone there who wants my stamp, so I can get the rat tail so i can get the ore.
Argh.
Please help. Thanks (again) in advance.

Snow You don't trade the Mazzi Stamp for the ore. It is only redeemable for GP by the guy walking around on the bottom floor (not the lobby but the actual chamber). The longer in the game you wait to give it to him, the more he will offer in exchange. To get the Adamant Ore you first need to get the Presidential Award from a man on the third level of the Congress chamber at the back. He will quiz you on the first ten American Presidents. Get them all correct and you get the award. Then take that to Mazzi in Bridelveil and get the Rat Tail. Next go to the Sprite Collector cave south of the East Continent and exchange the tail for the ore. Make sure you also got the Legend from Nemus Aevum.
