I wasn't sure where to post this. I am developing my own game as well. My sound guy is supposed to make me a character getting frozen sound, but he doesn't really know how to do it. I know this kind of sound in games, but I couldn't find anywhere a sample of the freeze sound so my sound guy got hear it and get an idea how I want it to sound. I hope you can help me with this issue. ljspence told me there are freeze sounds in everlong, and I wonder where you got them? Do they come with RPGMaker?
Hope this kind of post is ok with you, and I did look for this sound, but wasn't able to find anything. I guess I am looking for a short cut by asking for help over here. :/

Hope this kind of post is ok with you, and I did look for this sound, but wasn't able to find anything. I guess I am looking for a short cut by asking for help over here. :/ RPG Maker does come with a fair amount of stock sound effects and might have what you're looking for. I also used sounds ripped from commercial games and free samples from various websites. Sound effects can't be individually copyrighted, but the best libraries go for thousands of dollars and are made using expensive equipment by folley artists who work hard to get just the right effect. The legality is somewhat dubious, but I think you'll be fine if you do what I did, especially if your game is a freeware project. What I suggest is to download the main install for Everlong, then go look in the Sound folder, and take whatever you want. If it's a frozen sound you're looking for, look under "Cold" or "ice" alphabetically through the files. Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I must point out that I will not use any sound without the proper licesence agreemant and if there is a chance for me to infrige copy right laws. I just wanted to find a sound for my sound guy to hear so he can tell what kind of similar stuff I want him to do. But this seems to be a bit entangled with copyright laws, I am not sure I want to do it. Maybe it was silly to ask here for help... but no harm was done.

Use this software and make your own copyright-free sound... there you go. Attachments:
