I was going to open one of the midis up to listen to while the game was closed, since some of them sound rather lovely, and I noticed that every last one of them seem to be sped up at double or triple the speed, yet seem to play perfectly normally in game. How is this, and is there a fixed version of the midis in the game that you could upload anywhere for listening? ^^;

I was going to open one of the midis up to listen to while the game was closed, since some of them sound rather lovely, and I noticed that every last one of them seem to be sped up at double or triple the speed, yet seem to play perfectly normally in game. How is this, and is there a fixed version of the midis in the game that you could upload anywhere for listening? ^^; Tracks are double speed to reduce their length and thus the size of the file. This also results in less samples in the audio and lower quality in the case of the non-MIDI tracks. This is mostly a holdover from the old versions which were 100% .wav soundtracks, before the switch to MIDI made the music file space significantly smaller. Playback is forced to 1/2 tempo so the music sounds normal. If you want to listen to normal speed MIDI files here is a link: www.nealien.com/Everlong/Files/Everlong_Midi_Collection.zipNot everything may be in that archive, though, and it's not volume normalized. The newest tracks you'll want to take directly from the game folder since those did not have their speed adjusted.

Where did the file go? I had to reformat my computer recently and lost them.

Where did the file go? I had to reformat my computer recently and lost them. That file was two years old, so I'm not surprised it was deleted or moved. I have something else on my hard drive that I uploaded, but I'm not sure how current the music tracks are or if they're normal speed. Give it a shot: www.nealien.com/Everlong/Files/Everlong_Soundtrack.zip

Will you be updating that midi collection with the new midis, or no?

Will you be updating that midi collection with the new midis, or no? Probably not since there's no demand for it or other Everlong related stuff at this point. The good news is that the new tracks not included in that zip are likely regular speed by default. Look inside your Everlong/Music folder for them. Remember that they are replacements of previous tracks, so they don't have the same file names.
