Okay... Where are the locations of gems that Vixen needs to bring in order for the gate to the temple open? The forum search function is failing me, so I'll have to do this off the top of my head. Ice Diamond - get from Vixen automatically Inferno Stone - get from Vixen automatically Aquamarine - East Tower Dark Matter - East Tower Emerald - Aditus Grotto Garnet - Triangle Mountain Magic Lamp - Vanguard Obsidian - Tyr-Anon Depths Pearl - Vanguard Pot of Ashes - Nemus Aevum Ruby - Viridis Mons Sandstone - Occultus Gaza Topaz - Tyr-Anon Depths Some of these areas cannot be reached without vehicles such as the ship or airship. Others require you to advance the plot before the areas become available. You can always go back and get any missed stones later. Let me know if you require elaboration on the exact locations.

The Tyr-Anon Depths are below the caves on Tyr-Anon Island behind the castle. You cannot get back there to enter them until you advance the plot. You return to Tyr-Anon and invade the valley shortly after receiving the ship vehicle.
Triangle Mountain is atop the Valiantide Base at Triangle Island, but you cannot access it until later in the game when you get the airship and can hover over and dock at Triangle Island. You have to actually go inside the base, into the area with the free Inn and library, climb some stairs, and then exit back outside where some steps in the cliff lead to the mountain.
The Temple of Meridion is hidden inside the Meridion Caverns. You can either access it directly with the airship by landing at the isolated cave near the Water Tower, or you must go through the dungeon Meridion Caverns. You can do the latter as soon as you get the ship. Return to Golem's Pass on the West Continent. Go inside the first cave you find on the cliffs, and you will come to the Waterfall of Seasons. The falls will have receded revealing the opening to the caverns.
The Temple of Phoenix is hidden at the end of the Phoenix Cave bonus two-party dungeon. You cannot enter this place until you get the airship. Then you just hover over the volcano near Revirdok on the East Continent and teleport down to the surface.
There is no thirteenth temple. The final god Beomaust awaits within his lair atop the snowy peak of Nex Cacumen. It is the giant mountain in the south-middle of the ocean standing by itself. You cannot go here without the airship to hover and dock.

I already have the airship though. How do you beat Carbunkle? When it does disaster I automatically beaten. You need protection from conditions. The best and easiest way to do this, is to equip Ribbon accessories. Hopefully you have some by this point in the game. There was one in Nemus Aevum, and one in Aditus Grotto across the stream towards the end. Ribbons block all conditions. The skill scroll Esuna will also be very helpful if you have it, since when cast this spell removes all conditions from the entire party. This allows you to equip one hero who knows Esuna with a Ribbon, and then they can restore the party after Disaster in a single turn.

Once these are obtained, in which order - easiest to hardest - should we open the temples?

Once these are obtained, in which order - easiest to hardest - should we open the temples? As you acquire the stones, you'll be ready to open those temples, or you cannot reach them yet so it won't be an issue until they become accessible. Aestus and Arctica you should be able to defeat immediately. Gygax and Mjollnir are next. Then Coriolis, Lixandru, Diablos. Meridion and Tyr you can get early but might be difficult battles. Carbunkle, Aurora, Phoenix, and Beomaust will be much later in the game. You can always attempt to obtain a summon and fall in battle, only to return later and try again.
