HI When I complete a round in the battle arena, the screen fades VERY slowly to black and the the program freezes. Does anybody have a solution ? Thanks ! The extremely slow fade and freeze means the game is stuck in an infinite loop and processing continuously. The workarounds used to program the Battle Arena break sometimes, though rarely. I've seen a save file which kept resetting the same variable for no discernible reason, and this caused the Arena code to malfunction because it has to reset all the hero statistics to what they were prior to entering the battle. Something in your save is making this impossible for the code to accomplish. The only thing I can do is take a look at your save file and see if I can recreate the bug. Are you able to cause the error every time, with any party of heroes? Sometimes it only occurs for a specific hero. Also, are you playing the latest version, v3.24?

Thanks for your answer.
I'm using the 3.23 version of Everlong and the bug ocurs with different party leaders (but I didn't try them all) and different battle grounds. How do I do to send you a copy of one of my save file ?

You could upload your save file to a place like FileFront or MegaUpload and then post the link that they give you here.

You can also send it as an email attachment, whatever works for you.
There aren't any Arena fixes in v3.24, so the patch won't fix that, but it's a good idea to get it regardless.
The party leader isn't what's important; only whether a hero is in the party or not determines if they get their stats checked.

I finally decided to give up on arena battles, since it seems I can still complete the game (but not the side quest) without them.
Thnaks anyway !

If I do ever port Everlong to a new engine like Turbu, I will definitely recode the Battle Arena to fix this mess. Though to be perfectly honest, I'm almost certain at this point it's a bug in RPG Maker causing problems, and not the scripts I wrote and rewrote and tested thoroughly. Sometimes things just break without explanation in RPG Maker. Sorry I couldn't do more for you.

Wow, that've been a while since i last wrote here =) Found another bug in Battle Arena (v3.24)
If party have "Blessed" condition from "Holy water" when registering for battle, after the 4th last fight game stops : It doesn't teleport party back to the arena hall and blocks all controls.

Thanks, this is definitely a problem since until the Blessed condition is removed, hero statistics don't return to normal, and the function that restores all the values gets confused. Holy Water was meant to only be used in battle, and thus the Blessed condition would automatically end after one fight. I need to take another look at removing not only Blessed prior to the calculations but also other conditions that you can take into battle.
