hello everlong gamerz. I m new here and I really love everlong. It's truly a masterpiece. I am at the forgotten continent for now in game.enough with that, on with bug report
Whenever I use the skill focus, it does not increase my magic damage. Though "might" works fine and my atk is doubled. I also noticed that skill mental break also does'nt work as it should(might be wrong about this but I am sure about focus).
This is really bad b'coz lack of this spell effect shuts vetu and vixen from my team, since "might" is my strategy in boss fights. with focus i could include more magic oriented team. Right now I tend to get physical a lot since it gives me a great damage output. But it's boring always using similar moves. With focus, i could also use the magic attacks of drakeor, keen and the likes too.
Plz chk.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game, and there's plenty of challenges still ahead for you.
Focus works as intended, it's just not very useful given the limitations of RPG Maker. The Magic attribute simply does not have a significant impact on skill effectiveness. Neither does the Attack attribute. I need access to the algorithm to change this, which I won't get until the editor TURBU is released and I port Everlong over to that.
The difference is that using Might to double your Attack power has a tremendous impact on physical damage output, making it an exploitative tactic to easily win many battles. I tried to combat this by 1) making Might expensive to cast 2) giving monsters attacks that remove enchantments 3) designing special enemy attacks that deal more damage if you have high attributes or enchantments. Using Might and physical attacks is still the most effective strategy, however, and I need algorithm access to balance this.
Focus does have some uses. Slowing down certain enemies, especially later bosses, is key to success. Slow will not be effective at all unless your caster has a significantly higher Magic attribute than the target. This means enchanting them with Focus, inflicting Mental Break on the target, then casting Slow. Focus is also useful against enemies that use Mind Flux or Psi Duel, allowing your enchanted hero to take significantly less damage or even reflect it back onto the enemy.
Vetu and Vixen are also still useful if you use them smartly. Exploit enemy elemental weaknesses to deal double damage. Equip them with items that halve MP consumption, or enchant them with Boon to automatically regenerate MP. You can also learn and cast Boon in battle, or use Psyche and Aurora to replenish MP. There's also an exploit with the skill scroll Sentinel and halved MP consumption that allows you to fully replenish the entire party's MP for free outside battle. You'll also run into enemies that have extremely high defense that only magic can penetrate. Magic users may seem underpowered, but they're very powerful when used strategically. It's just not as simple as casting Might and hacking away with physical attacks.
