I've just finished Nemus Aevum and I have two questions:
1. According to my library I'm missing Row 2 Book 1, Row 2 Book 3 and Row 3 Book 2. Where can I find them?
2. Where are the tails to give to the sprites? I gave the Rat Tail from Dr. Mazzi, Pink Tail from Osama, and Mummy Tail from a Chocobo game. What are the rest and where are they?
Thanks in advance!

Row 2 Book 1: Ignis Castrum (Shop Room, right Tower) Row 2 Book 3: Dreaming Forest (Houses) Row 3 Book 2: Dreaming Forest (Farrowin's Room)
Thanks goodness for event search.
The other tails can be found in chests in dungeons. Awkward Tail should be in Phoenix Cave. Frozen Tail either Nex Cacumen or Beomaust's Lair.

Since I haven't been to any locations of those that means I'm not missing anything yet! Hooray!
I have quite more questions so please, bear with them.
Number 1: In what order should I do the 4 aspects? I was thinking of Caeruleus Silex because of Zephyr (or was it Zephyrus?), but until you do the Phoenix Cave and Triangle Island, he's no good. And since Phoenix Cave is after 2 aspects...
Number 2: Does building all statues around the world give you anything special?
Number 3: How do you get a Crimson Beherit from Calbrenda? (I don't need that one yet, but what's the harm in asking?)
Number 4: When can I access the Incultus Regnum Basement?
Number 5: I'm missing 3 side-quests. The last one on the first page and the 5th and 6th ones on the 2nd page between Occultus Survivors and Rembrandt Banker. I think one of them is about Skull Knight and one about Zephyr (I really don't know how it's written.) But what about the 3rd one?
Number 6: How many Desert Roses does Pixi need before she can't add any more graphics?
Number 7: When does the Master Forge complete Excalibur?
Number 8: Where do you get all the ultimate weapons? I know about the swords and Vanir but the rest?
I also noticed something weird. Why does Vixen get her MP absorb spell so late in the game? Meredith,Julia,Vetu and Drakeor can have it as soon as they have enough shards which is quite early, Glen,Justin and Keen can have the Zealous Blades if you find it which is still earlier than Vixen's. Hers happen only after you get the airship. And she is the one who needs it the most with the astronomical MP needed to cast her spells!
Phew. If you read it all then Kudos to you! And if you answer all these, thanks in advance for you sir made such a game that many questions needs to be asked!

And if you answer all these, thanks in advance for you sir made such a game that many questions needs to be asked! 1) There isn't any advantage to the order of which aspect you acquire first. Each area has some really good items. The order I made them in was Ceruleus Silex, Ship Graveyard, Silentium Tumulus, and Dreaming Forest if you want to follow that. Triangle Mountain is meant to be done right away or after the first aspect. Phoenix Cave after two aspects. Nex Cacumen after four, and Progidium Nidus before Atlantis. 2) Building all the statues doesn't get you anything more. I just made as many as I could to make use of the mason NPC. Previously he only made the set outside the White Shrine. 3) To get a Crimson Beherit from Calbrenda you must defeat all the Cals and Brendas before they transform into Calbrenda. This isn't easy on the first playthrough. 4) I think you can access the Incultus Regnum Basement as soon as you return from the Forgotten Continent. You might need to complete the Technology Monthly magazine side quest first to expand the Valiantide Base. 5) First page last quest is Skull Knight. Zephyrus is the two missing second page quests, first the reforging of the Pumice Pieces followed by searching out the Memory beacons. 6) Pixi needs just one Desert Rose to recruit, then you give her one for three additional menu graphics. There are 62 in all, requiring ten more Desert Roses I think. 7) The Master Smith can complete Excalibur after getting the airship if and only if you brought him the Legend and Adamant Ore before finishing Nemus Aevum. If you instead bring him these items afterward, he'll finish after you get two aspects. 8) Ultimate Weapons: Masamune - Defeat Opopopago in Atlantis, top floor Crystal Sword - Defeat Shinryu in Atlantis, white area Murasame - Defeat Pale Dim in Atlantis, basement Vanir - Defeat Plague in Atlantis, purple area Twin Bow - Atlantis, top floor Dragon Whip - Atlantis Bleeding Edge - ToKM? Princess Guard - Atlantis Tornado Teeth - ToKM? Tiger Fangs - Atlantis, and forge from Tiger Eye Redeemer - Atlantis, sandstone bridges room Divine Right - Abyss, second room Pandemonium - Abyss, fourth room Terra Born - Atlantis, sandstone area Full Moon - Abyss, fourth room There are no ultimate weapon daggers or dueling sword (Justin). Pretty sure about all those locations, but couldn't confirm a few. Tornado teeth and Bleeding Edge used to be in the Abyss but were moved. I might have made them part of the Celestial set from the Skull Knight. It wasn't planned that Vixen get her MP restoring attack so late. I wanted to balance this by making her character ability absorb magic damage as MP. These character abilities were cut from the game due to programming limitations. You'll find that's a common answer, along with cut due to time constraints. I can give you a list of what I had down if you're interested. To be fair, Vixen's summons are very powerful and could be easily abused earlier in the game when enemies have less HP. She's extremely useful without frequently casting magic due to her reasonable attack statistics and ability to equip a wide arrange of weapons. It's nice to have someone asking questions around here again.

It's nice to have someone asking questions around here again. 1. Thanks for info about it. I was gonna do Triangle Mountain after I got Aurora/Carbunkle and Black/White Dragon anyway. I think I'll go with Caeruleus Silex and Dreaming Forest first because of the books. A side question: What's Beomaust's stone? I don't have his book yet. I know he's in Nex Cacumen from what Meridion said but no idea about his stone... 2. I'll still build them anyway. They don't require much GP being so late in the game and it's nice to see them. Can we keep them on a New Game+? 3. I'll do my best! But thanks for the tip! 4. I just tried it but I can't. I completed the magazine quest and also the drill quest. They show as complete in my journal. I didn't go to Triangle Base yet though. 5. Okay! Then I didn't miss anything! 6. Is there anyway to get Desert Roses instead of the arena? 7. I unfortunately brought it to him after I finished Nemus Aevum. Have to wait for two aspects... (BTW I noticed the HUD says Nemus Aveum instead of Aevum...) 8. I can't get any of them... Wait... Where can I get a Tiger's Eye. If it's a forge then it's probably has to do something with Master Forge... The best dagger I have is Orichalon from Nemus Aevum and the best dueling sword I have is Heaven's Cloud, also from Nemus Aevum... About Vixen: That would be cool if she could absorb damage into MP. Actually if that's not much of a bother I'd love that list. And they were powerful indeed. In Pullus Unda my original character was her and two Mjollnirs and bam only 1-2 monster left And she was one of my characters with higher strength then magic. Like you said in the main site "The only dedicated magic user who can also deal some serious physical damage." BTW The least character I used was Vetu... I dunno why... I like his character but I never use him... Also a random question. What is the highest affection rating you can get? I'm at a high 73 right now so if I really don't mess things up, I'm sure I'll end up with Meredith.

Aurora, Carbunkle, plus the Black and White Dragons are meant to be done any time after you return from the Forgotten Continent. Beomaust's stone is the Garnet, which can be found on Triangle Mountain. You have to defeat all the other summons first, including Phoenix, before you can obtain Beomaust.
I'm pretty sure the statue counter does not reset on New Game+ or Continue+, so they shouldn't disappear. I remember King Thoth's triggers having problems before and requiring restructuring. Looking at the code I'm surprised to learn you cannot enter the basement until after Atlantis rises. I think this has to do with the addition of some powerful enemies to that area. Nothing else is required.
You can also get Desert Roses by defeating Cactuars on Monster Hunter Island. They show up in the desert and wasteland areas. This is the island directly south of Riverdok and the Eat Continent with many different terrain types and powerful enemies. They have a 1/5 drop rate chance.
Tiger's Eye is an ore that comes from trading the Frozen Tail. The Master Smith must finished Excalibur before you can forge anything else regardless of possessing the ingredients. That's a spelling error on Nemus Aevum, thanks for catching it. The best daggers are the Amethyst (Atlantis) and Graedus (Silentium Tumulus). Heaven's Cloud is the best rapier, but Justin can use regular swords too.
The affection rating extremes I have written down are -80 and +76, but I might have added a few new influence choices since that playthrough. You're high enough you'll get the best Meredith ending. The differences aren't big, but it does change Glen's final scene.
Vetu isn't particularly useful for physical damage, and using his magic effectively takes a bit of management. You have to discover enemy weaknesses and constantly cast Psyche to restore his MP. For people who like this play style, Vetu can deal extremely high damage, to both single and multiple targets. Magic ignores defense and is very consistent damage. Not to mention the variety of conditions he can afflict. Many of his final level spells cause burning, paralysis, or freeze in addition to damage. Drain helps him self-heal, and Miasma is reliable poison to all foes. The MP costs of skills do need revamping, as well as power growth, but I did the best I could with the engine limitations.
Unimplemented character battle abilities: *Drakeor: Jump, extra damage ignores armor, invincible while airborne but time sacrifice *Meredith: Archer, apply attributes, conditions to arrows and increase attack properties; examples: cause poison, cripple, higher critical percentage, ignore armor; evade+ while activating; one preparation active at a time *Willis: Sniper, replaces skill of same name, instant death or daze chance, lower hit %, evade+ until next turn *Keen: Steal/Mug, Throw; take items from enemies; throw additional projectiles such as swords, spears, etc. *Vetu: Retaliate, regain % MP if struck by magic and free automatic counter cast of enemy's weakness or best spell *Sammy: Vigor, extra damage and ignore defense attack, sacrifice turn but drastically reduce physical damage while waiting *Vixen: Attune, absorb magic damage as MP with no damage, single foe magic attacks only target her unless MP at maximum *Glen: Guts, regain % HP, drastically reduce physical damage until next turn *Julia: Fortitude, converts % of damage received to healing, spreads out among entire party *Justin: Parry, defense and evade increase, counter attack if targeted with physical attack *Brad: Masochism, sacrifice health to deal extra damage attack *Cirus: Cover, takes all physical damage in place of allies, reduced amount
Heroes were also going to have map abilities, most of which were cut, but the prototypes were used for the hunting animations.

I beat Aurora, but before going to Carbunkle I'm building all the statues first. Then Carbunkle is in Dragonoir area so I'll just head to White Tower directly. It would be amazing if the statues didn't disappear. Seeing your statues through the game. About Incultus Regnum Basement. You said there were 7 optional dungeons. Meridion Caverns, Triangle Mountain, Phoenix Cave, Progidium Nidus, Nex Cacumen and ToKM make 6. Is it the 7th one? Okay I'll do my best at getting 10 desert roses. I think I'll stick to the arena though. So to get Tiger's Eye I need to go to Nex Cacumen. Got it. Thanks about the best weapons. I can't get them until Atlantis though. That's bad. But hopefully I won't need them! Good. Next time around I'll get Vixen and see if I can get that - 80. About Vetu, I think I used him effectively back in Glen's scenario, but that's probably it. I'll try to give him more weight in my next playthrough. But can't make any promises. BTW The only character I haven't found any skill scrolls with is Vetu. What are they? About the character abilities... I wish they could be implemented... Darned RPG2K3... Oh well. Thanks for the response and the info! You're really helpful!

The Ultimate Weapons are significantly more powerful, which is why they aren't available until the end. The Incultus Regnum basement could count as the other optional dungeon. There's also Beomaust's Lair, which is sort of the second part of Nex Cacumen, but it has different enemies and its own look. Vetu's skill scrolls come late in the game because they are powerful spells. You'll start finding them soon in the aspect dungeons.

Okay have only one tiny bit of a question. Is there a way to turn random encounters off??? EDIT: There is something wrong with Cirus's statue in Herbtown. It has his body but the previous statue's head... You can disable random encounters by turning Story Mode on. You must be on the world map to do this. It's under the Options in the custom menu. Optional dungeons will force random encounters back on if you aren't maximum level or are yet to complete them. I goofed on the Cirus statue. I made the events correctly, but forgot to erase the static version of the original statue underneath.

Is there a way to turn them off at optional dungeons? I recall something like a moogle charm I read here somewhere...
BTW One more question. What's the highest amount of money we can get by selling Dr. Mazzi's Stamp?

What's the highest amount of money we can get by selling Dr. Mazzi's Stamp? The Moogle Charm was an old mechanic that used an accessory activated from the item list to stop encounters. It was replaced by Story Mode, and it didn't work in non-completed optional dungeons either. You must finish those areas or be maximum level to turn off battles inside. If you wait until Atlantis rises, you can get 200K for Mazzi's Stamp.

Okay. Since I'm only level 87 I won't turn them off yet. Besides they're a good way to win money.
Oh Should I wait for the extra 100k from him? It's not worth that much. I'll wait anyway.
Thanks. That's all my questions for now. You're a terrific helper.

This seems like the appropriate thread to ask:
In the second trip to Auctus, i found the following scrolls: -Enfeeble -Viper Strike
I need to know if I am missing any before engaging the boss gauntlet.

This seems like the appropriate thread to ask: In the second trip to Auctus, i found the following scrolls: -Enfeeble -Viper Strike I need to know if I am missing any before engaging the boss gauntlet. I'm pretty sure those are the only two. I made them very hard to miss in that dungeon since you can never return. I probably should have placed them in a location you can return to, since permanently missing them would suck. There is the Continue+ and New Game+ options, though. And I was planning a small Auctus area you could explore again after it sinks and after returning from the Forgotten Continent. That was cut, though.
