I realize that many things have changed as the game was upgraded. Are the rings obsolete? The walkthrough says "water tower there is a merchant with lots of elemental rings" but unless there is a second merchant at the water tower that I'm missing, I can't seem to buy any rings there. Are the water rings replaced by aqua shields? If so, how do I protect my characters who don't use shields from water damage? Trying to beat Leviathan . . . Thanks! Gussie

I get it. Only the names are changed . . . I got the forge guy to make me some aqua stuff for those who don't use shields. Wow this game is fun. And the changes in names for stuff and places from the somewhat outdated walkthrough actually ads another level of "solving" to the puzzles. Keep up the great work!

Yeah, the names are changed, but the items are still there. I felt the old ones were too lazy and generic. The water accessory is now called Mermaid's Tear, and if you use it as an item it casts Water Shell. Always be on the look out for equipment pieces that protect against elements. In certain battles that will be more important than their low defense.

This part:
"The water accessory is now called Mermaid's Tear, and if you use it as an item it casts Water Shell.Always be on the look out for equipment pieces that protect against elements. In certain battles that will be more important than their low defense."
was especially helpful. I've not seen a reference to that capability anywhere else. Thanks! Gussie
