Hey, i always wondered why you didnt publish this on steam for a modic price. I do know you want to remain this game free for everyone, and i did read in some post of you you dislike modern and commercial RPGmaker games. But what matters here i think is to make this MASTER RPGMAKER PIECE more popular, in Steam Greenlight. I kind of sense your answer will be negative towards offering this game on steam, but anyways i would love to know what you think about this.
cheers, and thank you again for supporting this Master Piece.

Actually, I'd love to offer Everlong on Steam. Even if it wasn't for money, it'd become more easily accessible to players. The reason Everlong cannot be professionally sold or featured is because of the extensive amount of copyrighted resources used in the game. It would cost tens of thousands to commission original art, music, and access sound effect libraries. Also the game engine doesn't even have an English language license, and I'm not sure if the licenses for modern RPG Maker software like XP and VX allow sale by a third party service like Steam. I'm glad to hear you still enjoy the game, though! I was really hoping TURBU would be finished as an alternative engine to XP or VX. A remake would be an enormous amount of work, and I'd never commit unless the engine had a built-in side view battle system and extensive GUI support. -DJC

So that means there's no option of "importing" a whole game made with an old RPGmaker to a more modern one ? That's a shame. Not even in Amaranth games, or Desura ?
Anyways, just tell where and when should we look for your new project when its finished.

Sorry, i swear i am not promoting HumbleBundle or any of the companies that are offering their products through humbdlebundle, but since your work is related to this, maybe you would be interested if you dont already own any of these products. www.humblebundle.com/weeklyBy the way, this second post im writting is related to my previous question of being able of "importing" a whole game from an old RPGmaker to another one newer.

TURBU was meant to be an editor that could import RPG Maker 2k/3 projects into a more modern engine. The author achieved that, but never finished the battle system. I don't know of any other editors that possess that functionality.
I've started thinking if I ever release a commercial version of Everlong, I'll need to start from scratch anyways.
No idea on that new project. I completed all my work for it, which was just maps, but the other team members didn't seem to be making much progress on the other content and mechanics.

RPG Boss is better than TURBU.

RPG Boss is better than TURBU. It doesn't look like RPG Boss can import RPG Maker games, nor do they plan on adding that functionality. The engine is therefore not useful to me. TURBU was more complete when development stopped, but I'm not sure if that build was ever publicly released. Unfortunately Easyrpg doesn't run Everlong correctly either, so start from scratch or extending the game with DynRPG are my only current options.

Well, there's an english version of RPGM2k3 now and there's plenty of RPGM games on Steam(including fellow RPGM2k3 game Ara Fell), so i doubt that would be much of an issue.
Of course, we still have the rather major copyright issues, which aren't trivial to solve.

Of course, we still have the rather major copyright issues, which aren't trivial to solve. There's also a number of patches the project absolutely requires that are NOT compatible with the official RM2K3 release unfortunately. This includes DynRPG, but also the David/Goliath patch I think. Otherwise I might take the idea of commissioning professional art assets seriously and release a commercial version.
