Hi everyone, if you don't know, Aegir is a really hard boss to beat in this game, and I want to help everyone beat him up Okay, to beat him, you'll need some items.
List of Items needed:
-about 10 Tinctures( The thingys that restore 50% mana) you may use more or less, I used 9, you might use 12, but you'll need around 10. Bring 15 to be safe.
- 1 Item that resists against either Ice or Water, if you have more, awesome! But I only had 1 so yea. You can do this without the item that resists, but it makes it easier.
- If you've gotten as many chests as you can, you should have 2 hero's drinks. These are extremely helpful. I recommend using 1 hero drink this fight, but it's not that useful, just like a little boost.
Equipment:
Pretty much just get the best fighting equipment for Glen and Justin, Get the best stuff you can for Vetu, and for Meredith, get her best equips too, but also equip that 1
item that resists against Ice or water. (I hope you didn't sell all that stuff)If you have more items that resist, give the others to glen and vetu, don't give any to Justin
(you'll find out why later) Onto Skill shards!
Skill Shards:
Glen: Glen only needs his elemental thunder attack.
Meredith: Meredith will be the backbone of your entire offence. What to get with her? Get Water and Ice Shell to help protect against Aegir's attacks, also give her fast, slow, osmoose (lool funny name) And get the healing magic that heals everyone. I am bad at names.
Justin: He's not very important for this fight, so anything goes.
Vetu: Vetu pretty much will only be using 1 skill for the whole fight, which is thunder 3.
Strategy:
I can't take all of the credit for this because I remember someone in the forums who said something about this, and here's the link if you need additional help. everlongrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=gencurrent&thread=1679&page=1#8353
Copy and paste if links aren't allowed to be clicked on. Okay, the first thing to do is....
1.The first turn, I think Aegir attacks first, but if he doesn't, free turn, woo-hoo. Meredith should have a decent speed, 50+ is good enough, my Mere had 60 speed, but anything above 50 is good enough. Meredith is most likely faster than the rest of the party. If Aegir did not attack, you have a few options.
1. If you have a hero's drink you are planning to use, use it on Meredith.
2. If you do not have a hero's drink, just use fast on Meredith, as a faster Mere will help EXTREMELY with all the healing and stuff.
After Mere goes, on Glen just use thunder strike, and on Vetu use thunder 3. Justin should use his most powerful skills. We have started the fight, congrats.
Now, to continue the fight, you need to do a few things.
1. NEVER HEAL JUSTIN. I CANNOT EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH. Justin not being healed and eventually dieing WILL HELP YOU, NO MATTER WHAT YOU THINK. If you want proof this works, lets say I did the whole fight with justin alive, which I did. I never won. But the second I used this strategy, I won in around 10 minutes. Justin hates you, so let him die.
2. Meredith plays a crucial role in the begining, what you need to do is cast water shell, ice shell, and fast on every single character except Justin. If the damage recieved is high, stop casting shells and fasts to heal the party! Also, on the 3rd turn Aegir will probably cast fast, so make sure that Mere uses slow on him, if Aegir gets really fast, it's over.
3. Justin will die soon enough, and with his death you can see victory. By now, Mere has most likely finished casting fast, water shell, and ice shell on everyone, If not, finish up.
4. Aegir will cast Thunder shell, which stops that much thunder damage, but still keep casting, it's worth it! Aegir has a whopping 80,000 HP, but doing 1k per thunder attack is soo worth it.
5. The really amazing thing here is that in the whole fight I never used 1 Tinctures on Meredith! This is when Osmoose(lool still a funny name) comes into play. When Mere has low mana, everyone is taking extremely low damage, so you can waste a few turns, Osmoose recovers about 65 mana per use, I'm not sure, but around 60-80 per use. That is alot of mana. It should cover all your healing costs, all of the slow your SUPPOSED TO BE USING ON AEGIR after he casts fast! Mere was extremely fast, so she had turns left over with NOTHING to do with her. Full hp on everyone, slowed Aegir, full mana, so I got turns wasted with Mere.
6. When Vetu has low mana, use tinctures on him. You can use tinctures on Glen too, but it's not neccesary. I only used 9 tinctures with restoring Vetu AND Glen's mana. I think it is worth it restoring Glen's mana unless you can hit hard with him on phisical attacks.
7. If this doesn't work, please ask me questions, I'm here to help.
Oh, my characters were lvl 41 and 42, so you should be that or even more, make it easier on you. Remember, any questions, just ask. I am Crutches1 message me if you want to ask me something private. Thank you for reading <3
